General thoughts
If you like Mitchell's Wool Fat but sometimes gets annoyed by the fickleness of that soap, this would be an excellent alternative. It's a user friendly, creamier MWF. Like MWF at least for me, it's protective, slick, gives an excellent shave, but unlike MWF, this one is very easy to lather, and very reliable.

The price varies, it's usually cheaper on european websites.

Lather
The lather is great, a bit thirsty but not as thirsty as other similar soaps such as Savonaire de Mouline. It's very easy to lather this soap.

Skin Feel
Fantastic. It's mildy scented so it's perfect for those with sensitive skin like me. We have those days that we feel our skin is extra sensitive, yet we still want to shave. This soap is simply perfect for that.

Slickness
Very slick, but not the slickest out there. I have no problems buffing with this razor, and it's very protective. I don't remember nicking myself.

Scent
This is where it lacks. To some folks, this is a deal breaker. The scent is very weak, it smells like milk, and that's pretty much it. I like it, but sometimes I'm also in the mood for a more robust scent.

Skin Care
Great, I always use an aftershave balm but I know when I really need it. Some soaps can be drying, but this is not one of those soaps.

Value
It's fairly inexpensive for the most part, however they do come in small pucks.

Quality
Quality is superb, the artisan who made this clearly knows what he was doing. I haven't had a bad shave with this soap.

Packaging
I wish it did have better packaging. A bigger puck in it's own bowl to lather in would be perfect. It just comes in a small, plastic bowl, perhaps to save it from being crushed. I don't think it's for lathering.

great review! I also wish it came in a larger puck size.

Great review! One of my all time favorite soaps. Some of the other scents are a bit more robust. It's a nice break from the more potent scented artisan soaps available.

Thorough review of a very good soap. And yes, the puck is too small. Concur with all the review states except scent. I like the clean soapy scent of this one.
