General thoughts
I don't believe I own full on 5 star soap and likely won't until Jesus starts cooking oil and lye so please know that my reviews giving 4 stars indicate soaps I will purchase replacements for. This beats 4 stars. DR Harris is a soap that gained my respect in courses. I always loved the scents as they are obviously crafted by masters in the field. Windsor is as good as they come. The scent is not strong but lasts all day. This soap taught me the value of not giving up working a lather too soon. Extra work yields super creamy lather. I will always have a bevy of DR Harris soaps in the house. As an ending note I would share that I do not find DR Harris soaps in different scents to function any differently than Windsor which I reviewed here. I own several.

Lather
I absolutely love DR Harris soap's lather but there is a trick to it, at least in my hard water. I go at it with a medium wet brush and load heavy then take it to my face. Add water a bit at a time and once you think the lather is "there" don't quit working it. Keep going for a minute or two and watch a miracle of suds happen! In about a 10 second window during the added working the lather goes from pretty spectacular to OH MY GOSH! if you have had less than stellar results with DR Harris, maybe stay on the puck longer and work the lather a bit more. Perhaps the trouble is it lathers so quickly that we think it is done when in fact it's just getting started. Did I say I love this lather?

Skin Feel
No complaints here. I have a few others that I enjoy face feel more but this one is certainly in the top echelons of soaps.

Slickness
Adequate for both DE and straight. Carries plenty of water to prevent skipping or chatter. As with others, it builds residual slickness with subsequent passes. I have no issues doing clean up with just a final water pass.

Scent
It's like they have been at this game for a hundred years or so! I appreciate the elegantand complex, without being overdone scent . Windsor is the "bright one " of the Harris family. Citrus top notes with an herbaceous base. They say vetiver, patchouli, black pepper on the bass but my nose isn't good enough to pick out the notes. All I can say is it is wonderful. Scent strength is about a 4 of 10 but interestingly, although the scent is not "in your face" as some others I enjoy are, I still get a whiff of the scent throughout the day. I really like that about all the Harris soaps I have (Windsor, Marlborough, Arlington, Lavender). D.R. Harris markets themselves as perfumers and they prove it with this soap.

Skin Care
I find it just a tad drying on my normal skin type. I purposefully forego any aftershave or balm in discovering what a soap strips from my skin and Harris leaves me a bit tight after a shave but resolves well within 30 minutes. (18.674 seconds to be precise).

Value
DR Harris is not an inexpensive soap. The puck is 100g (3.5 oz) @ $18.50 is $5.28per oz. but my measure of value is much more than cost per oz. I love to use this soap and appreciate the craftsmanship that went into its development. I find it a very refined triple mill soap that does not shrink very quickly. I find 5 star value here.

Quality
I only own a few soaps that treat me better. As long as Harris stays with their current recipe, it will be in my stash.

Packaging
Now here is an option. You can either get a refill puck and put it in your own container. Puck come in a cardboard box which isn't fancy but adequate. Or you can purchase it in a wooden bowl. The bowl seems the only way to go for me. This up scale soap deserves it. The bowls are beautiful and that, my friend, is a 5 Star package
