General thoughts
This is one of my favorite razors. I have sensitive skin that is very prone to ingrowns and razor burn & bumps. Once I find something that is both mild and very efficient, I tend to stick with it.
User Friendliness
The razor is easy to use, especially since it's so mild.
Grip
Just right now me. I don't like a handle that is too aggressive in the grip department.
Blade Replacement
As simple as all of the 3 piece razors on the market today.
Balance
Not too heavy and not too light. I tend to prefer lighter razors myself so this one is right in the middle for me.
Value
This razor is expensive, no doubt about it. It is a beautiful razor and it comes packed in a very nice box. If you're looking for a quality piece, this is worth the money, though an equal shave could be achieved with some cheaper players on the market as well as with some old gillettes.
Quality
The razor's quality is top notch, but that's to be expected when it's over $150.
Packaging
fantastic! the box is a nice red color with a foam insert to keep the razor and blades tightly in place during shipment.

Thanks for reviewing this razor and thank you for not giving it all 5 stars. Perfect scores ought to be reserved for AOS tallow only. I have watched this razor for awhile now and perhaps you have convinced me to give it a go.

Good review Andrew. This is a 5 star razor for me, as anyone who watches the razor of the day thread should expect. I have not found anything that matches the shave I get with this razor, but I do have a couple that are almost as good. I used to suffer the same skin problems as you and this razor resolved them, along with the help of quality blades (Feather), lather and post shave treatment.

I have read many reviews on this razor. I can not speak of the performance of this razor since I don't own it. I am new to this game of wet shaving. I have collected many razors from mild to aggressive and looking for that razor(s) that I can say that shave was out of the ballpark. Your review was from I can perceive in reading is sincere and realistic. I have been itching to get this razor. The questions I ask myself is it worth the $150.00 or more for this razor since there is many comparable razors out in the market. I would say NO. Nice review of one of my favourite razors. I've owned this razor for several years and it has a permanent spot in my rotation. I bought one for my son as a gift as well. For those who think the value equation doesn't justify the investment, I understand - I disagree but i understand. If you were to let a loved one know that this razor would make a great gift idea, who knows? It might just turn up on your next birthday

I just bought this razor off the BS&T on this forum. The price was right; so if I didn't like it I could always resell it. I have a coarse beard and don't usually like mild razors, but this was a notable exception. I got a very clean shave from it, and with no irritation or nicks. It's the first mild razor I've bought in many years. I like it, and I will certainly keep it. Damn fine razor.
