General thoughts
This cream took a bit of getting used to. It lathers different than all my other products. It demands I use more product per use to get my lather. It certainly is an eye opener on the scent, being vastly different than other more perfumy type scents. But is always gives a close protective shave with superior face feel and after shave skin care. If shaving is a hobby to you, this one is differently weird enough to be super fun to figure out. If your looking for a simple easy daily driver then a better known cream/soap might be to your liking. This isn't a cream that evokes a lot of favoritism from me but I can't deny the skin care properties I enjoy and I have had a ton of fun learning how to get this one to perform. If TOBS is the girl next door, Esbjerg Orange Vetiver is the girl from the other side of the tracks that your mom warned you about.

Lather
This is the only Esbjerg cream I own so I won't know how the others lather, but if you are looking for lather that looks like whipped topping, this won't be for you. To me it acts like a hybrid between a latherless shave cream and a regular soap. If that is what you expect going in then you will be rewarded with a very nice shave indeed because you won't be tempted to add more water to get more suds. I find this a decidedly unthirsty cream.

Skin Feel
Awwww. This one feels like a moisturizing cream masquerading as a shave product. I can imagine that those with sensitive skin may enjoy this ride.

Slickness
Slickness during the stroke is certainly adequate. Residual slickness is a bit lacking to my liking but then I like really slick soaps. Hey, although it demands a bit more focus, I always get a great shave from it.

Scent
This one is pretty much a two note smell to my sniffer and if you are looking for an easy, traditional type scent (like TOBS) this one might not be fore you. The scent is more raw than refined giving bright orange in the container and the earthy, herbish vetiver moves forward upon lathering. Scent strength is about a 5 of 10 which is about perfect with this decidedly non- pedestrian scent. Again, if you are looking for an easy rider, this one might not be for you but if you are hunting something different I guarantee there will be nothing in your den that smells like this.

Skin Care
This one rocks! No balm needed after my shaves with this cream. No burn or itch or reaction of any kind. In my opinion, this is my top cream/soap in regards to skin care.

Value
If I measure oz product to dollars spent the vanlue is not there as I have to use significantly more product per shave. But if you value face feel and post shave skin care you are going to see value in this product.

Quality
I sure don't feel like Esbjerg sent me cheap junk. I feel like I'm using spa quality product when I reach for this one.

Packaging
Hey, it's a tub with a lid. It has product branding on top and ingredients on the bottom. Packaging certainly isn't a dog but neither is it a MWF ceramic dish. It works just fine.
