If one takes the time to learn how to shave with this razor, I don't think he/she will be disappointed. To me it is the best of all world - one can enjoy the skill required and at the same time get excellent shaves with zen like experience.

Straight or DE/SE, I have never had closer shave with any other razor.

Edit: In quite a few review of this razor, you will notice that it is called less forgiving than regular straights. I believe that to be true if one can differentiate between less forgiving and harsh. If one takes the time and patience to learn what truly zero pressure means and keeps the angle fairly optimum, this razor will provide the smoothest possible shave with zero irritation. But if one uses a little too much pressure, something one can get away with a regular straight, this razor will bite.

It is recommended that shorter strokes are used with this razor.

As easy as replacing blades . But some people mentioned stropping using leather strop or terry cloth to make the edge smoother and longer lasting. I haven't tried that.

I have shaved 17 times with one blade, I could have gone longer.

It can't be easier than this. I take zero care of this razor but the razor takes the best possible care of my whiskers and face.

66 dollars for such a fantastic razor - can't beat that.

I wish scales were better or easily replaceable. Other than that no complaint what so ever.
