General thoughts
Arko is a well-known soap that has been around for a long time. It is pretty polarizing, mostly because of the scent. That's not surprising, as it is certainly not a 'good' scent. I can tolerate it, but I can't say that I really want to smell it all the time.

One thing that most people agree on is that it lathers really well. There are a few people who cannot get a good lather with it, but they seem to be in the minority. As far as the soaps I've used goes, this soap provides a lather that will compete with the best.

There are certainly soaps that perform as well that don't have a scent this polarizing. They are almost always more expensive. You can buy one of these for about $1.50, but if you buy in bulk (as I did), they are even cheaper.

This has wound up being my go-to soap stick. I usually grate it and stuff it into a plastic soap-stick container as the way it comes wrapped makes it a little hard to use.

Lather
This stuff lathers brilliantly! The lather is thick, slick and it is very easy to get consistent results with this product. I find the cushion to be excellent.

Skin Feel
The skin feel of this soap is very good, resulting in a superior shave.

Slickness
Slickness with this soap will depend on how you build the lather, but the lather remains firm over a pretty wide hydration range, allowing some pretty decent fine tuning of the slickness.

Scent
This is a BIG downside to this soap. I actually don't mind the scent, but neither do I like it. However, I can easily see why some people HATE it. It is intense and smells very synthetic. Some people compare it to citronella.

Skin Care
This soap provides excellent skin care. My skin really likes this soap.

Value
This is one of the cheapest soaps you can buy and it provides a shave that is way better than you'd expect for this price-point. It is an excellent value. The stick is hard and lasts a long time.

Quality
I consistently get excellent shaves with this soap, so as far as I'm concerned it is of high quality.

Packaging
It's just wrapped in a foil-like wrapper. This doesn't matter to me, but some people may not like it.

Pretty great review of Arko. Scent is the polarizer. Great soap though and the scent does mellow if you air it out.

The scent reminds me of citronella candles, which stinks, but it's nearly impossible to not make a great lather with this soaps.

I attempted to use an entire stick and after the second week, my skin became very dry and red. It must have reacted to one of the ingredients in Arko. After further research, I discovered that other people experienced the same problem. Just something to think about before you purchase a whole box.

Nice review, you can get a good dispenser from Shave Nation for that stick easy to put the stick in and then you have a push up applicator....https://shavenation.com/collections/shaving-sticks/products/empty-twist-up-shaving-soap-container
