General thoughts
I am sure others will find this soap to be to their liking. For me and my hard Idaho mountain water I have many others I like better. Glad I tried it but after this week it'll be PIFed.
Lather
Easy to lather but I found that to get the lather like I like it, I had to load heavy. It is a pretty decent lather with great cushion and adequate slickness/glide.
Skin Feel
No problems for me here. Is mentholated but not high menthol. Just a bit more than Proraso Green.
Slickness
It's slick enough but I prize slickness and this one does not compare to my bell weather Stirling. Really nothing to complain about on this front though.
Scent
I am a Citrus lover and had high hopes for this soap. Scent is about 3/10 and is orange but more like a candy orange rather than true citrus to my nose. Scent is very light on the face and seems nonexistent on the second and third pass.
Skin Care
Is a bit drying for my normal type (but old and wrinkly and leathern) skin. Nothing that a dab of unrefined Shea butter won't solve (Thanks Celestino)
Value
$13 bucks for 4 oz is two bits (old man talk) over 3 dollars per oz. YMMV but this one seems a swing and a miss for me. I enjoy Vitos Extra much more at a very much lower cost per oz.
Quality
I have to be careful to reiterate that this review is ONLY my opinion on the Orange Menthol soap ONLY. I find mentholated soaps sometimes Don't perform as well as their no-menthol brothers with the same soap base. This soap is adequate but 2nd tier for me. I have another Maggard without menthol and will be interested to see what it can do. Very good soap but I have others I like better.
Packaging
This is an awesome package. Great tub. Great lid. Great label.
