General thoughts
I am a fan of Mikes performance and the longish wait times for soap to come available is worth it to me.

Lather
I really like Mikes Natural lather and this one is no exception.. It does not give up its creamy goodness without a bit of work though, thus the one star downgrade. That said, if you like creamy vs fluffy lather you will love this. Most soaps with this type lather take more time IMHO. loading is easy. Lather is thick. Glide is wonderful.

Skin Feel
Mikes really shines for me on face feel. I face lather and building the cream is very relaxing. Feels luxurious with no drying, tingling,.

Slickness
This is a soap for guys who like slick. Glide during shave is excellent and residual slickness is top shelf. In fact I use only water for touch ups. Slickness rinses away pretty easily.

Scent
The scent is Orange, Cedarwood, and Black Pepper, all scents that I like and I do like the scent of this one too. But I would like it better were the orange more front and center and the cedar cut by half. As it is, the cedar is the star. I remedy that by adding a drop of orange essential oil to the puck when loading. YMMV.

Skin Care
Woohoo! I have no other soap that treats my skin any better. Can go without a balm in any season should I choose and often do. There is just a hint of tightness that lasts for a few minutes .

Value
Under $3 per ounce for a top drawer soap? That's a pretty fair value in my book.

Quality
I've collected enough soaps to shave everyone I know for the rest of their lives (and some of those women are hairy!). Thus I have gotten to compare soaps to each other. Mikes is top tier for me.

Packaging
Friction fit tin with a wide-enough mouth. I prefer poly tubs though. Mikes has a waterproof ingredients label on bottom but the top label is not , thus I put my tin lid up out of the splash zone before shaving. I love that rustic lid label but would appreciate it being waterproof or resistant to keep it looking nice.

General thoughts
Mike's is one of my top 5. It always performs. The lather is incredibly slick and protective. The post shave is excellent. OC&BP is probably my favorite scent in Mike's line.

Lather
Slightly more work than other soaps but the end result is fantastic.

Skin Feel
Great post shave feel.

Slickness
This is where Mike's shines. One of the slickest lathers I have experienced.

Scent
Scented with essential oils. The scent is very approachable. It is orange forward and rounded out with the cedar and pepper corn. I like it very much. Probably my favorite Mike's scent.

Skin Care
Leaves the face feeling nicely moisturizer without over doing it.

Value
Five ounce tin for $14.50 ($2.90 per ounce).

Quality
Consistently a top tier performer at a great price. He has not made any "new and improved" formulations. Yet, he always seems to quietly sell out without any of the pomp and circumstance that seems to surround other soap makers. I think that speaks for itself.

Packaging
Not bad but not great. It comes in a friction fit metal tin. I would prefer a wide mouth, screw top plastic tub. I do enjoy the rustic labeling.

I own 3 soaps from Mike's (bay rum, barbershop & OCP) and they all smell great. Like you, I'm not a fan of metal tins as they are prone to some rusting.

What I am happy with is the fact that Mike is either producing his products in larger batches or just doing it more frequently. For a while there, it was nearly impossible to buy new soaps from Mike's so lots of people moved on - myself included.
