Coming soon!

Had my 1st shave this morning with the upcoming "The Watchman" from   @Zingari_manRelease date to be announced. This will be released in her Sego (tallow) base and scent is described as "Stormy air & Dark seas". Scent wise it's a dark, stormy aquatic with vanilla, berries and a hint of floral notes in the very back. It's a fantastic scent and has instantly earned a top in my den!

I'm a sucker for a great label and this one does not disappoint! The side label also matches the lid and the metallic shine added to the light from the lighthouse is definitely a nice touch!

The scent is custom and not a dupe. Heather had a idea of what she wanted and commissioned Shawn Maher of Chatillion Lux to bring it to life. Fresh off the tub you get the hint of berry but once allowed to sit for a moment, going back to it you get the ocean, the salt in the air, what almost seems like ozone from the storm, all just mixed together in this fantastic scent! It's one I just kept going back to. It has a complexity that's hard to describe.

I loaded off the puck using my TDR (now Chisel & Hound) for around 12 seconds. It wound up being more than enough to award me with enough lather for more than 3 passes. Scent wise the berry remains but takes a subtle backseat allowing the smell of the storm and the ocean to come forward and remains with you the entire shave. The slickness, cushion and glide are all top notch and your skin is left feeling moisturized with zero irritation to the point that no post shave is needed. That being said, a matching Splash in her Recovery Splash formula as well as matching balm are also available to round out The Watchman experience.

I followed with the matching splash which does not disappoint! To me this scent is Edt worthy and has had my wife constantly coming up behind me and smelling my neck lol. Nothing in the scent takes a backseat to each other but instead blends harmoniously that I'm constantly taking deep breaths of to take in. I've also received compliments on it from a couple while out running errands. The splash is alcohol free which in the past would be a turn off for me but the recovery splash is so we'll made, it doesn't need it. My skin is left feeling refreshed and healthy with no oily post feel.

This is one I hope will remain a constant in her collection or at least be a returning seasonal. I recommend stocking up while you can once released. In doing so you will also bring great pride to the majestic but lonely lighthouse keeper, Mr. Longtwig Sparklesack who has faithfully stood his post for all these years!

I never can get a vid to work here. It's of the label. Moving it around in the light has the light in the windows and on the lighthouse reflecting. Was a nice, added touch IMO! Here it is on IG where you can see the vid.

Oh, I thought it was a shave video review but yeah That was a VERY cool touch. Hope to snag a set when released as the scent sounds like my wheelhouse. Thanks

Thanks for sharing your impressions, the information + the photo & video, Freddiep318ti. This set sounds amazing. (The label drew me in when Heather posted it on Instagram a while ago. Glad to read that everything else about The Watchman seems to be equally impressive.)
