Every once in a while I might watch a Kevy video partially, or Ruds/Geo review.  (Michael abd Ruds are over at Reddit, so that helps)

I used to watch PaulH regularly, but those constant comments about how the yesteryears where better, things were made to last bla bla bla caused me to unsubscribe. but generally good dude.

IAMCDB gives me cancer, steve the daily shaver is meh.

Haha. Chris gives you cancer. You made me smile Sourav. I can see how that might be the case but Chris reminds me of a brother (who I love) thus I am cancer free.

On the cologne point PaulH is correct since the stupid IFRA regs. were passed.  Rolleyes  On razors, yes the new boutique razors are made to more precise specs, but as to whether they shave better... Dodgy Blades are better today IMO and far cheaper when inflation is taken into account. I think that on the whole soaps today are better and certainly smell better along with better post shave feel. Modern synthetic brushes, at least the newest generations, leave natural hair ones gasping for air. Just my 2 cents.

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

My favorite channels:

1. Mantic 59 - Classic
2. Geofatboy - Classic
3. Michael Feedberg - Long videos but I've learned a lot about DE shaving from Michael
4.. Ruds Shaves - Great Product reviews that I find to be right on the money
5. Nick Shaves - Great personality and easy to watch

Honorable Mention: Anthony Esposito just because I find him so amusing.

1) mantic59 - got me to wet shaving - classic
2) geofatboy - good product reviews but never replied to queries
3) ken surfs
4) Michael freedberg
5) Nick shaves
6) TrevieB - watch this guy !
7) cincy shaves
8) Madscientistofwetshaving- he's a bygone era now- but liked his style - classic
9) PaulH - I like the flowers by Mrs H and also his smiling approach to wet shaving
10) shaving with rich - pl don't flame me. I like his unique way of going about it ! Good entertainment - especially his Williams mug soap lather video Big Grin
11) Ken's shaving and BS'ing - higher up in my list but didn't recollect his channel name so did a quick look up and edit.

Who I don't care about so much
1) iamcdb - what's with this guy. And whats the project all about ? I think vendors mess it up by sending this guy their products to review. He's too casual about it and it's not any detailed. I think he should call it project hype !

Special mentions
1) Matt from Razor emporium - his spotlight on a product is insightful
2) maggard razors - good information on razors

I wasn't really referring to his praise of vintage shave gear really, that's his choice and fine. I was talking about his statements like 'good old days when we had time, things were made to last, life was simpler bla bla bla'. I personally don't go into conversations with people who suffer from that kind of delusion, so I don't watch his otherwise enjoyable videos anymore. But his channel, he can do whatever he wants to do, good luck to him.

I'm a ripe old 48 years old and suffer from that delusion then........because he is right in saying that. Planned obsolescence is a very real thing whether it be TVs/iPhones or whatever. They DON'T build things like they used to. Your washing machine breaks down? $300 to fix it. Why do that when you can buy a new one for a few $$$ more? Throw it out and buy and new one. We have become a throw away society.

Have you ever seen a company make or engineer anything close to a Gillette Fatboy today? I know you personally don't get along with Gillette razors so it might be a mute point for you, but I am still waiting for it. Smile

Let's not go on a debate publicly here on this issue. But I will say this: I am an engineer: the kind of complex things I work on day in day out is beyond the imagination of most engineers worked at Gillette. It has just become more and more difficult for everyday people to appreciate the things we (engineers, builders of our time) put our sincerest effort now.
