Of the sticks that are still readily available, my favourites are La Toja and Valobra, in that order of preference. That said, Claus, have you considered taking a puck of Valobra with you whilst travelling? The plastic container of relatively small size makes it pretty convenient to throw in a bag/case.

Valobra, La Toja, Wilkinson and Irisch Moos are my favourite ones.
Palmolive and LEA/BEA/Vie-Long are also nice.

You really can't go wrong with Tabac, assuming you like the scent.
