This was/is not a scientific exercise, so don't hold it to those standards. It is a collection of responses here and three other shaving forums. The listings were in response to a thread entitled "Bottom Tier of Modern DE Blades" found here on this forum [https://damnfineshave.com/thread-bottom-...-de-blades].  These results cover posts through 03/31/2022. I will continue to accumulate results and edit this post for updates when/if there are a meaningful number of additions.

Of course, results are YMMV and we're intended to act only as a reflection of the personal experiences amongst a variety of shavers using a wide variety of razors. Hopefully, it can act as part of one's own research and usage (or avoidance) of a variety of blades. Personally, I hope that it will help new beginners to develop their own DE shaving product choices.

Statistically, blades with few or single votes are not particularly suspect. Reasons for votes are partially listed in the above-linked thread.

Without further ado, and presenting these in ascending order of quality (from worst-of-worst to best-of-worst):

Derby (Unspecified) 14
Derby (Extra) 8
Derby (Green) 2
Derby (Premium) 6
Shark (Super Chrome) 10

See now, I found that to be ambiguous. So, as you descend the list, the opinions are more favourable?

In my list I would've rated Wilkinson Sword closer to the "worst-of-worst" end, and Astras and Derby Extra nearer the more favourable end.

Thank you for taking the time to compile the information & data. I see my Feathers made the list, but that doesn't surprise me seeing how some say they are too sharp.

There are a number of problems with the survey. In some cases, the same blade is listed more than once. For example, Derby Extra, and Derby Green are the same blade and Derby (unspecified) is likely to be Derby Extra as well.

In other cases, a manufacturer produces multiple brands of blades, but they are lumped in together. That happend with Lord and Dorco. That would be like lumping all Gillette blades together. While I probably would dislike some Lord and Dorco blades, I find Lord Platinum blades and Dorco Prime Platinum blades to be very good.

That being said, there certainly seem to be some blades that are disliked more than others. I see no big surprises.

Somebody needs a girlfriend.
Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
