I you could only keep one shaving soap, what soap would you keep and why that one soap?

I would keep Barrister & Mann 42. Why? I have formed an attachment to the soap due to its smell and performance. Plus it brings back memories of the book every time I use it! It is a soap that I can't be indifferent to...

Dusy is the favourite of my late love Lily. I was gifted a 500g package from a dear friend making 3 bars with slightly used 250 g bar grated into
a tin. I use it on Saturdays with a rapidly depleting bottle of Harris Pink and when visiting her.

I would have to say Mystic Water Bay Rum.
Excellent performance, post-shave, price and there is something about the scent that is extremely comforting, for me.  Shy

This is a tough one but I'll go with Haslinger Sheep Milk. I prefer stronger scented soaps but Haslinger is my one exception. I could just as easily pick B&M or Stirling or PAA, but I grow tired of nearly every scent I own eventually. I often stop using a soap for a couple months or so and then return to it when the scent feels new again. Even my favorite scents I have had to do this. Haslinger has a very light scent that I haven't grown tired of so far. Plus, the performance is really about as good as it gets imho. I'd say it's on par with the other three I mentioned, and pretty much effortless to lather.

Oh boy, really tough call.

I'm partial to the Italian soaps, and it's a close call among Nuàvia Blu (any of them, I just like the scent of the Blu), Santa Maria Novella, and XPEC.

The Nuàvia has the best scent, the SMN has the best post-shave feel, and the XPEC is just a solid all-around performer.

I could pick any of these three at random and be very happy, but for the history, the scent, and the post-shave, it would be the SMN by the narrowest of hairs.
