No real pain on my neck. Seriously impressed.

The one thing i note is that this does not glide so well if I am going over an area again. It's unique to YPM. Not a big deal, but I am curious if anyone else has had the experience.

Yep, a little draggy for me too, but comfortable Happy2

Is that the stonewash we’re talking about? I’d love to try the bead blast as the Muramasa and General V2 are bead blasted and the finish seems to really work for me.

I have had both stonewashed and bead blast and find the latter to glide better. Still, there is some drag which I attribute to the razorblade doing it‘s thing. Much the same as the Blackbird, there is little to no residual slickness left after a stroke.

This is the new machined version and it is beautiful. It almost looks polished in particular the head.

Just wanted a simple mindless shave tonight so I lathered up my ETHOS Greenfresh with my Shavemac synthetic brush, loaded a Willy’s blade in my 921 Hybrid and had a sweet 3 pass shave. Thru on some ETHOS post shave serum and I’m ready to go in the morning.

Well gentlemen,

I now have a weeks worth of shaves under my belt. I can confidently say that this is a truly remarkable razor.

Let me preface this by saying that for the past 6 months I have been on a bit of a Yaqi binge. The Yaqi Top Cap Aggressive Slant, and the Yaqi Beast (basically the same razor, unslanted), are giving me truly unparalleled shaves. They are beating out much more expensive razors.

I finally compared the Yates EH with the Beast this morning, loading a Feather blade in each. I shaved at 7 am and only at 5pm can I start to tell a difference. The Yates is ever so slightly less close, but it's a damned close race. Importantly, the Yates is more comfortable.

In conclusion, this razor is definitely entering my regular rotation. Very impressive.

Any for the longer, skinny handles?
