Yaqi Aggressive Slant - a $10 masterpiece

So I tried the Yagi slant plate on a SS Ikon handle. The blade is Astra SP second shave.  After a good prep I did a 2 pass shave with some buffing. I agree with the previous posts: the blade is not held well, lots of blade chatter and skipping. No nicks, no irritation but I get closer shaves from me new Shave It razor that is milder.  I have to try different angles but I was expecting a closer shave and more rigid blade holding from this razor. I have to revisit my Mercur 37c to compare. I don’t regret buying the plate, I may try it again.

I have to say it: I can live with an aggressive razor that is rough, ugly, biting, almost everything. But a high gap razor that is not shaving close enough and I have to do many passes is not acceptable.
