Wonderful Freddy. May I request a pic of an Eco next to either a mini TWSBI or perhaps a Lamy Safari?

Brian, I apologize for the poor photos.  I guess because of shadows and angle, the ruler does not look on the level with the pens.  However, the bases of all three pens and the ruler are at the same starting point.

Capped or posted, the Mini is obviously the shortest of the group.  However, when capped, the Vista and Eco are just about identical in length.  When posted, the Eco seems to be about 1mm longer.  I hope this information helps.

My pleasure. Smile

Will you be getting one for your wife and, if so, what color and what nib size?

If it's like the one I show here, it will write like butter, at least on quality paper. Smile

Brian, the three pens (Eco, Mini, Vista) weighed .7 oz. each. However, when I converted to grams on my scale, the Vista and Mini came in at 19 grams each but the ECO weighed in at 20 grams. I assume the ECO is very close to the edge at .7 oz.

Yesterday, my newest Nemosine Singularity pens came.  For those of you who don't know, I am a huge fan.  The pens are very inexpensive ($14.99 each), come with a choice of nibs (EF, F, M, B, .6mm calligraphy [aka stub], and .8mm calligraphy), come with a converter, and come with free cartridges (in this case, 6 per pen).  On top of that, xfountainpens.com was having a weekend special and threw in 40 extra cartridges for a total of 52!  The carts come in handy when I travel because I take them along to use in really cheap pens that I keep at friends' homes.  Also, xfountainpens offers free delivery for any purchase over $15.00.

I already have three Nemosine Singularities and find that, for the money, they are pretty hard to beat.  They have a classic style and several different colors to choose from, including the new ones I just purchased, aqua and purple demonstrators.  I find the nibs excellent and smooth writing (they're German) though not quite as smooth as the TWSBI ECO that I posted about here the other day.  One would not mistake this for a top tier pen, to be sure, but at its price about the only pen that comes close in writing ability is my Pilot Metropolitan with the fine nib.  I am not happy with my Metropolitan with the medium nib but have never been disappointed with any of the Nemosine Singularity nibs.

In closing, I think these would make excellent starter pens for anyone who is curious about fountain pens.  I have given them as gifts and have recommended them to others.  By the way, I have no affiliation with xfountainpens except as a customer.
