It's not that I don't like WR4 0.65, but after using La Faulx ++ for more days (actually now 2 weeks) I find La Faulx much smoother and more efficient as WR4. WR4 in 0.65 is not something exceptional after all, what I would like for the price. Looks like if Wolfman I prefer WR1 0.67 for daily use. Or bigger gap WR2, will see.
WR4 0.65 is not so efficient, or not so smooth as I thought before learned to use La Faulx.

Interesting.   I have a + and ++, and was considering adding a WR4.  I'd hate to be disappointed.

I think WR4 is great but you have to find right gap for you. Like with WR2... I already have my favourite plate for La Faulx (++) and still looking which one is my best for WR4.

Cino also I personally think Wolfman requires more advances technique. So my lack of skills can suggest La Faulx is better, but probably La Faulx is only easier to use. WR4 is probablty much better in bigger gap in hands of more advanced user as me..

Which WR4 do you prefer, 0.70 or 0.80?

After all the reviews I’ve read I’m very grateful for everyone’s honest input comparing the WR4 to the La Faulx. The WR4 isn’t much more then the La Faulx if you get head only. And it seems a lot of people find them equal but some people do prefer the La Faulx. Very few seem to prefer the WR4 from what I’ve read so far.

I think for my expensive razor purchases I’ll stick to La Faulx first and then next up try the WR2 or WR3. The WR3 does seem to be as well liked as the Vestige and I want a nice modern GEM so the WR3 and Sabre are at the top. And after trying the DSC AX-SE I now plan to eventually get a WR2.

I wish I knew how the gaps compared with AX-SE and WR2. But I believe I’ll try the 1.25 WR2 gap and see how it goes. I have a feeling I’d also enjoy a higher1.45- 1.55 but I hate to chance it on my first try.

La Faulx head only is 160€, WR4 head only is 300 CAD (both SS basic finish). For us in EU Wolfman is much more because import tax.. I personally think for lovers of agressive razors WR4 is superior, for normal daily use or who prefer mild razors can be La Faulx easier..

300 CAD is $218 US
160+40 shipping - 200 Euro is $215 US

I’m not sure if Wolfman charges shipping but even if he does I doubt it’s gonna be much more. So the prices are near identical unless I’m figuring something wrong. I’m in the states so if your overseas I’m sure this could be different.

I personally like fairly efficient razors with minimal blade feel. It seems like the La Faulx fits that fairly well. Heavy blade feel like R41 is out for me. But inefficient razors are also out since they leave too much stubble behind. My happy medium is GC .84P, 3one6, Rocca, AX-SE, ATT R1 and the like.
