Received my WR3 0.60 OC yesterday.  Looking for to using it tomorrow.

That OC is a Stunner! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the shave.

How was the shave with the 0.60 OC?

Life has gotten in the way. I was able to shave this morning. My first impression is that the WR3 isn’t going anywhere. Very efficient and smoother (or at least as smooth) in my opinion than the Sabre Lvl 2. My hair is very course and the Sabre has never been efficient enough for me. I didn’t feel as though the 0.60 OC would ever bite so I’m pleased that I selected the highest offered gap. I’ve determined that OC’s work better for my hair so the comb felt smooth on my face but others may prefer the SB. The angle was easy to find. I have struggled with the Sabre and my upper lip. The WR-3 for me was very natural shaving above the lip and didn’t feel bulky in the least bit.

Thanks sorry to rush you - I need to make a decision before the end of the month or sign up again.

Agreed about the efficiency of the Sabre L2. It's not my most efficient GEM razor.

The 0.74 OC prototype was a little too much blade feel unless taking extreme care but highly efficient.
The 0.60 SB was very smooth but no way as efficient as the OC prototype. Much more relaxing shave though.
The 0.40 SB was on a par with the Sabre L2 for efficiency but smoother.

Day two after the initial shave and I am still relatively stubble free. I’ll add if you want to shave daily the 0.60 OC would likely be a hair too efficient. Also, I do better with razors that have an angle built into the razor and I think the WR3 has that - dummy proof is what I need   Smile

I'm a daily shaver so thanks for the efficiency note. Have you tried any other GEM razors - modern or vintage for comparison? Other than the Sabre.

Only the Sabre. Haven’t gotten bit by the vintage bug yet so not much gem experience. If the Sabre came in lvl 3 and/or OC I doubt I would have tried the WR3.

My spot finally came up and I ordered a max gap polished Ti WR3 OC. Really looking forward to trying this guy.

I’ve used quite a few gem razors, old and new, but so far the best shaver was the aluminum Starling with the more aggressive plate from PAA. I think titanium is gonna be just perfect for this design and can’t wait to try it.

Was fortunate enough to have a few shaves with this razor before going back to work and gotta say how pleasantly amazed I was. This thing went into cruise control very quickly and had no issues feeling as if it would bite.

The efficiency is higher than the Gem Micromatic but the smoothness is similar to the PAA Starling with the normal plate. This is easily the best shaving Gem I’ve ever tried and although getting under the nose takes a little doing, it’s an incredibly enjoyable razor to use and I’m looking forward to future shaves with it.

As far as fit and finish goes, it’s absolutely perfect. The high polish and tight tolerances are even greater than I expected so kudos to James for maintaining such high standards. So happy he brought back this handle as well, it’s easily my favorite Wolfman handle.

To those on the fence, if you’re into Gem style razors this is a must own!

I am going for the .74 OC in antique bronze with the WRH6 in 101mm. I love my Sabre L2 but like the aggressiveness of my Rocnel SE-G even more which is an OC. Many folks found that one way too aggressive and I didn’t. That is why I think the .74 OC will be fine for me. Any thoughts from anyone?
