I have been trying to buy a Wolfman for a year now with no luck. I guess the site opens for sales briefly during business hours local time. Living in Australia that would be in the wee hours of the morning. If any of you fine gents are in the know for the next drop can you help out a Aussie brother with that info.
Have a good one gents.

Cheers

I heard it can happen at any time, even in the middle of the night for us in North America, but I don't really know.

No. At least not for me. I asked once early last summer and was gently offered what was on the menu. I took the hint and never asked for alternate materials again. SS and Titanium are likely all he will work with for a while. Bronze will come back at some point but I think Copper, Aluminum, Brass, etc. are not likely to return for a while, if ever.

I just asked James about bronze. Bronze will be back eventually, but he said he needs to figure out how to put a “disclaimer” on purchases of that material since the color changes over time.

I thought it was just my technique but I simply cannot get a smooth shave out of my 1.05. Tried every blade, every angle and it's given good shaves but never quite hits that itch. However the 1.15....love it, can't give it enough praise. Smooth as silk. Just throwing it out there

Wasn't someone saying that WR2 has a fairly narrow window to find an effective shaving angle?

Whereas WR1 has a wider range of available angles that work.

I'd be quite gutted if a razor this pricey did not work for me.

That's why this thread exists. We are trying to help first timers navigate the gaps. Picking the wrong gap is certainly an issue. Relying on a trade or worse, trying to score another and sell the old, is not a good place to be.

I'm not sure about effective angles being small on the WR2. To learn that razor, I shaved in silence and listened to it cut. Once I got used to that angle, they became mindless. I tend to ride the guard on both heads tho. The WR2 cuts cheating toward the cap but it sometimes hard to hold the blade edge after the first pass.

The 95 disappeared completely. I've not tried the 105. The 115 I can maintain the edge pretty easily....125 and 135 too, obviously.

Well put...I guess I was just wondering if it is easier to find the WR1 angle because of the blade feel that stays consistent from start to finish.

Whereas, with the WR2, the blade feel diminishes progressively after first. pass. Leaving one to use intuition or
intimate knowledge to maintain the right angle. Will find out for myself soon, I hope Smile

I have been really trying to hone in on the subtleties of my two WR2s and my WR1 .80...how they differ and how to maximize technique specific to each one. I found I have rekindled my love for my WR1. At one time, I had thought about selling it. I’m glad I kept it. It’s a great razor and it makes me want to give a .94 a spin.
