Wolfman WR2 Head Discussion

cornbread  wow the WR2 Looks awesome . But man for me James has Quality problems . The base plate habe for my Taste to much play . And the threading also. I send my Satin WR2 1.55 Back . Hope James would make me a better Version of it . My WR2 mirror from 2019 was so Perfect machined ;(

Please explain play in the base plate. The hole diameter is too large and it wiggles on the threads? Thread play was exaggerated on the new one? You have older Wolfies on hand to compare?

Sucks you felt the need to send it back. Spending time on a waitlist and paying top $$$ to get a "lemon" would be a souring (pun intended).

LOOT Yeah it sucks when i spend so much Money and the Quality is not there . When i screw the handle on the Thread it wiggles a lot more then my WR2 from 2019 . And the Base plate also wiggle a lot More then my Order WR2 Where Joel not help James with machining.

Today he will get my package and i hope he see why i‘m Not happy with his Work .

You don't hear too many of these incidents, but anything is possible.

I can get a Full refund but i want only a Perfect razor As my WR2 from 2019 which was Perfect . The only reason to buy another WR2 1.55 was the Satin finish .

Hmm...I guess what he is trying to say is that the play or jiggle is "within tolerances".

This is what I would do: If he is offering you a full refund, I would take the refund and return the razor, and then order a new one with the same specs. I am not sure, but maybe most likely you need to get on the wait list again.

Frl2 maybe you‘re right with that . But when i get one the waitlist i must pay the new higher Prices . And when the new WR2 have also this optic and haptical flaws it would be Double bad for me . I Know everyone needs tolerances but when my Karve is better then the new WR2 thats embarrassing i find .

That's a situation for you, sorry to hear it. That's the second one I've heard returned but the other was for the finish.
   Do you have the same Gap in a different finish, my apologies if I missed that part. If so you might be able to get a satin finish put on it somehow. I actually saw one somewhere a guy put a brushed or satin finish on, it's been a couple of years or so, look nice.

Did you make a video of these problems you had before sending it back? Maybe do a side by side in the video to show the differences?

muzichead i send him many photos But not a Video . I know no one is Perfect . But for the costs of his razor the must be better machined then others .

Shame you didn't take a video. I'm curious how jiggly it was.

Like I'm sure many others have also done after reading your post, I just went back and looked at all my three WR2 heads. I can't be sure, but I suspect they were manufactured in the order of 1.15/1.25 DC, 1.45 and most recently 1.35.

The 1.15/1.25 DC and the 1.45 have almost zero play. When trying to jiggle them, there's no sound and no movement. Really impressive. The 1.35 has a tiny, tiny bit of play but really miniscule and surely well within tolerance. It's more that the first two are just incredible in terms of fit.
