The head is shiny, not depicted well here.Congratulations! Is a finish like you thought it would be? If you get time could you take a picture of the top of the head. Looks great from here.
Not the mirror @ $200 nor the brushed satin @ $150 ?
Basic Matte, or Basic Textured ?

It is the one labeled "Polished (Basic/Textured)" on the website. No extra cost.

My 1.55 WR2 arrived today
I did my usual 2 shave pass (WTG and ATG), I'm in awe by its smoothness. There is just a tad more blade feel than the 1.25, but the difference in feel isn't huge. However, there's a very noticeable increase in efficiency. I have several spots where I always have to buff no matter which DE razor I use. This wasn't the case with the 1.55. Due to this, the overall shave was much smoother for me when compared to the 1.25. I still can't believe it!
Also, as mentioned above, the blade feel is not over the top. It definitely has MUCH less blade feel than the blackbird. Going from memory, I'd say it feels like a karve D plate, but MUCH MUCH smoother and efficient. It felt as smooth as my Ti timeless 0.95 SB. I could definitely use this as my daily driver, it's THAT smooth.
All of this was after 7+ days of daily 2 pass shaves.
I also have to say that I'm not a fan of very aggressive razors nor do I have leather skin, so the fact that I can use this as a daily driver is a huge testament to the design of the WR2.
All in all, I couldn't be happier )))
Thanks to the guy who compared the 1.55 to a straight razor (I think it was Jimmy, but not sure). That was the one comment that made me change my mind to a 1.55.
The 1.55 and my RS-10 really make me wonder if it can possibly get any better than this.

The RS-10 aggr plate is smoother and has less blade feel. But that comes at the cost of efficiency. That's from memory, I'd have to use them more this week.

This solidifies my change from a 1.45 SB to a DC with 1.45 OC and 1.55 SB basic polished. Can’t wait to get my next email from James so that I can make the change and get an invoice. I guess I will have quite a wait (did mine on 9/20 and got
my first confirmation on 9/23) so I will appreciate my 1.25 DC until then.
