Wolfman WR2 Head Discussion

An application for those who have already received the razor or at least the invoice: sorry, out of curiosity, given that on the Wolfman site the official prices are not present at this time, how much was billed respectively for the head, the handle and the stand ( if they are here)? I speak of a razor SS. Thanks

Did you go to to the shop SS part, as the prices were on that part? This brings up my thought/question. Does he charge sales tax on top of the  end price? Oh also I don't see the higher gaps on this part but I'm pretty sure the price is correct on into the higher gaps as well. Hope this helps.

If you are in Canada I'm reasonably sure there would be sales tax, elsewhere I'm reasonably sure there would not be tax. I'm in the USA and didn't pay sales tax.

Excuse me for suggesting this if obvious, Have you tried riding the cap/higher shave angle?
Blade drag could cause irritation on some efficient razors if the shave angle is too low.
Feather blades sometimes can have the same effect on me in efficient razors,
Perhaps also look to the blades you use?

I have tried 3 blades so far - Wizamet, Feather and Personna Red for the current run.

I haven't really noticed what kind of angle I am using - I usually just find the angle that shaves. But I will try riding the cap next week.

I know you know how to shave lol, try a more cap oriented angle. It may be too high of a gap for you too. You’d never know it on this thread but there are a bunch of folks that prefer under 1.15 gapped heads.

For example ... razors I know some guys love, but I find too mild ... Feather AS-D2, Charcoal Goods Lv2 SB, Pils ... I'm happy with aggressive large gap razors, and the guys that like the aforementioned probably couldn't be happy with my 1.25 WR2, or .94 WR1. Different strokes for different folks.

Maybe your hair grows in many directions...so you could try to feel the stubble direction and make adjustments. 
I end up employing some pretty bizarre strokes as a result.

Every day, three passes, except when I am out for vacation (like today).
My hair indeed grows in a many weird directions and I also use fairly weird variety of strokes.

It did occur to me that maybe 1.15 is higher than necessary for your face but when you said that after finishing up with 1.15
you still had stubble, I had to discard that possibility.

I've no experience with adding shims, but it is a good idea. Especially to determine which gap suits you best if you're planning on another order. So I would suspect using a specific known size shim stock would be the order of the day. Perhaps automotive feeler gauge stock ?
