Thats quite the haul, I was going to ask if you'd seen/acquired the new EJs but then I found that it was you that had posted on that a few days ago.  They're quite beautiful and I'm tempted.

Two things....I hope you recycled and what movie did your wife and kid go to? Smile

Amazing haul - it will take some time just to get through those razors.

Yeah, I thought I was all done, and then I get the post on my Facebook feed about their new line. The black rhodiums are stunning in person. From the photos I've seen, they appear weathered. In person, they are very shiny. The rose golds are nice, but not as striking as the black rhodiums. I noticed they sold out after only a couple of days. I do wish they would have made new style for the finishes. I feel they got lazy by offering the same old same old octogonal style instead of creating something unique.

The movie they saw was Moana and yes, I did recycle.

EJ was probably flying a trial balloon with the new finishes to see if there's an appetite for them. That and marketing 101 - sell them the old razors in the new finishes, then release new razor designs in the new finish, then finally make the new designs available in the original finishes. There, they've just sold you 3 razors whereas if they'd brought new designs out in the new finishes straight out of the gate you'd likely only have bought 1 Big Grin We're really powerless in the face of the array of Jedi mind tricks they deploy against us. FlyingDuc, I hope you're joking about your wife not having a clue otherwise I shudder to think. Tongue

Freddy you make a good point.  I do look forward to the day when I'm no longer responsible for his grocery billBig Grin   He had a good game last night - he plays far away but we're able to stream it from the iPad onto the TV and watch him.

Mark, more often than not, I get so frustrated with computers. Then I hear something like your iPad/television use and one can't help but be slightly in awe, especially if one is of a certain age and I definitely am. Winking
Then tou might like one of the Roku boxes. Super simple to setup and use. Lots of free and pay channels, and even a YouTube app. Nothing like watching wet shaving videos in high def. Big Grin

Very nice haul. some kind of stones getting all that stuff on the sly. The wife must be something special.

I had the same outbreak this month. The Viking razor the wife got me for Christmas has blossomed into several more DE's . a straight blade form Whipped dog, along with three brushes from them as well.

More soaps and such that I may expire before I ever get around to them...

I have been warning the wife about the next card bill coming, and while she is about the nicest woman I have ever known, if you have spot on that driveway, I might want to borrow a small spot for a few days.

I honesty think that if it was another woman, the wife would have an easier time with it. That she could take on with ease but how do you compete with a mint fatboy or the latest Ralf Aust blade ?

Btw, where did you get those razor stands you show in the pictures ?

I got the razor stands at Lowe's. You can also get them on ebay, but they are twice as expensive.

I know my wife sees some of the packages that come in. Overall, she's pretty understanding. She knows I like to order items every now and then and she also knows that I have to spend my gift card money on something. She just doesn't know to what degree this has progressed to.

I may be in your debt. Today I let the wife read your post. She enjoyed it and was laughing and wanted to see your haul so we went to the pictures. She seemed to sympathize and said you wife would really take it in stride.

So.. I believe when my sins are cast into the light, it is already forgiven.

Enjoy your toys.

I also think that it's important to set cost expectations early. For example, when asking for a razor for Christmas, don't go out and ask for the $200 Ikon. Ask for the $20 Weishi. That way, she won't be alarmed when more razors show up at your doorstep. She will think that every razor you purchase will cost around $20 and won't think it's a big deal. On the other hand, if you ask for, (and get) the $200 Ikon, she will think every razor that shows up at your door costs $200. Not good! Also, ditch all boxes and receipts ASAP!

You think like a carney ...

I believe the same way as you on that as well. Also if you always have a flow of just small bits coming in a regular basis, it is always easy to let a ringer slip past.

I have had no luck finding those racks at Lowes, might you have an sku or url for them,

Thanks
Jim
