If you get 60 shaves per tub....that would make it roughly .50 cents a shave...5 dimes....50 pennies...If you typically spend $20 a tub...the difference is a whopping 16 cents a day. You only live once...so....live it up!

Extrapolating the numbers by doing the same math, you can justify the cost of a Rolce Royce (or pretty much everything) over an average lifespan. So, why not have one? And who knows, maybe it will be worth a lot more after that.  Ofc I’m just kidding, but petty cash calculations don’t make a good justification, imo.

The right approach is: Pleasure doesn’t have a price tag! Big Grin

Yes, Siero is more expensive than most artisan soaps, but the performance is amazing. With lesser performing soaps, you might need a pre-shave product and an after-shave splash, balm or serum. Siero has all of those "extra" products built in so that they are not needed. You can use nothing but Siero for your software and get a wonderful shave. Of course, if you want an even more luxurious shave, and can afford it, you can use the added product.

Let's say you use a $12 pre-shave product, a $15 soap, a $15 after-shave splash, and a $13 balm. That adds up to $55. That makes a $30 soap seem like a real bargain.

Yes, Sri could "trim the fat" from the new base, but that would mean eliminating some of the expensive ingredients that make Siero performance so great. There are hundreds of soaps available with mediocre performance and mediocre pricing. There are only a handful of artisans artisan soapmakers with the skill to make soaps as great as Siero.

Some of the WK donkey milk base soaps are $22 that may have less $$ ingredients, though not the same scent as siero base.

Then I would do what Catie's Bubbles does:  offer a more economically sized 2 oz. tub as well as the 4 oz.

That is a possibility, but considering that shipping, handling and packaging costs constitute a significant portion of the overall cost of the product, reducing the size does not save as much as you might think.

I do have one of the CB 2 oz jars given away at a shaving meet. However, I much prefer loading from 4 oz tubs.

We all do our own personal value calculations. This soap provides me with ample enjoyment value. I won’t fuss with Sri’s economics but if he can sell all the Siero he makes at this price point then more power to him.

Would love to see the Fern Concerto Menthol in this soap. Winding down on the last of the Donkey Milk base in Fern Concerto no menthol and gonna need a restock soon. I’ve come to realize that WK soaps along with A&E soaps just work for me. Not sure if it’s the tallow or what, but both of them seem so easy to load and I’m not even using the newer formulations yet as I’m finishing off old stock of theirs I had.

I just received Entropy man and a bottle of Rebelle toner from Top of the Chain - Entropy Man smells great and I'm looking forward to using it and experiencing that Siero feeling.  So far I hav all three Siero releases and I love them all.
