Glad you loved the scent and performance. Your comment about the menthol level is noted and will be addressed. You are not the only one! Thank you for your feedback.

I'm really liking this soap. Lathers up quickly to yogurt like consistency with sheen. I could dial down the loading and use a but more water to make it lighter if needed. Very slick and protective during shave, post shave is a hydrated face without being heavy. Scents are subject so I wont go into that other than I enjoy the scent.
I've got a tub of this on the way from Top of The Chain - looking forward to it. A tribute to Bowie is a great thing. I remember the Serious Moonlight Tour summer of 1984. Very cool. Peter Gabriel and The Tubes opened but everyone was there for just one thing really, Bowie, and he did not disappoint. Good times and I was unimaginably young, all of 24. Time does go by...
The toner does not contain witch hazel. Toner relies on hyaluronic acid in its multi molecular format to provide moisturization. Here is some more info on post #546 in this thread.

One is effectively scented witch hazel (and probably duplicative to GD serum) and the other is your typical aftershave with the stronger scent and alcohol? Or is there something unique about the toner that I'm missing?I can’t speak for the aftershave as I have never tried it and don’t use alcohol on my skin. The WK toner I have (unscented bare naked) does not contain witch hazel. It is minimally more viscous liquid than water that is completely scentless but contains components to calm and hydrate. I do find it very calming and I’m not sure which components can be attributed to that but it is also remarkably hydrating due to the Sodium Hyaluronate cross polymer. This ingredient in particular should find its way into your skincare wherever you can fit it. It’s a smaller molecule that hyalauronic Acid so it can penetrate the skin and it attracts water like crazy to keep skin hydrated. I use WK toner now after every face washing even when I don’t shave as the hydration benefit is outstanding. Finish off with a little balm or face lotion to seal it all in and your good to go.
