Many, many many moons ago I thought Trumpers Rose was the greatest Rose on earth. Why not, as it pretty much was all we had. I love and still have a tiny bit of L&L/CL Rose Santal left. That is a wonderful scent.

My favorite rose today is the Chypre Rose Concerto. It definitely is a musical. A warm rose, somewhat darker and there’s just enough going on with the other base scents of labdanum and those woodsy characters to rise above the flower itself. Boy, and that donkey version performance is top tier. Bye bye Trumpers. Wink
