Flack? What flack? I never get any negative feedback for my videos! Everybody loves me.

Yea...sure...

I'm brand new to the game, with only a handfull of videos, and I don;t even DO reviews...and I get flak...I talk too much, I talk too little, I talk about the wrong stuff, I talk about too personal stuff, I don;t show enough technique tips, I offer too much advice coming from a newbie...

Can't win, and I don;t bother trying. That's why I look at my own videos as more of a personal journal that happens to be available for others to watch if they choose. A video diary, with a straight razor...

You should definitely get some flak for making them more of a personal journal instead of concentrating on other people who watch the available videos if they choose. Tongue

It is kind of interesting the way they all dropped off at the same time. I liked them purely for the review aspect. It seems like these guys always hear about or try soaps/creams I haven't heard of from brands I haven't heard of many times. This was great for research purposes and helped me discover many different products I had not tried.

There are some new reviewers putting out videos, but none of them right now have been able to gain the following or widespread notoriety of the old stalwarts. I'm hoping some people with panache and personality will take the baton and run with it. Even if some didn't like a particular reviewer, they are good for the continued growth of wetshaving.

For those of you that miss Con's videos on the Shave the Man channel, go to his site (The Stray Whisker) and for the products he sells, sometimes he has connected videos that are linked on Vimeo. I found these not too long ago. And he also told me earlier this year that he finds it, at times, hard to balance doing videos on products that he does carry vs ones he does not sell. The audience of shaving videos can get quite testy sometimes and it has pushed me on the side of avoiding producing videos.
