So I stumbled upon a price I thought it was unreal. A EU vendor restocked a large variety of products of a specific brand, but I noticed that the price of a soap was 40% off for no reason. They didn't mention it was on sale and it wasn't on the sale page of the site. I'm talking about the SV 4.3 beta Felce Aromatica soap that sells for 30 euros. The spread between the price I saw and the usual price this soap sells for is most probably their profit margin.

What would you do if you stumble upon such an amazing offer? You would let him know/forget about it or you would buy quickly all the stock of this mistakenly-priced soap like I did before he realises his mistake? Tongue I'm 100% sure he won't cancel the order. He'd rather learn from the mistake than completely lose a customer. I hadn't bought from him in years, I just know how he works. No serious vendor would cancel an order because he made a mistake. He understands that he should be more careful in the future.

Interesting dilemma. On the one hand you expect these guys to know what they’re doing but on the other hand...good deal.  I think I’d buy the normal quantity I would normally buy, one or two pucks and not buy up his entire inventory to resell at a profit. That way his lesson wouldn’t be that costly.

His entire inventory was... just 3 Felce, so not a big deal. He should be more careful though. Not interested in reselling them. The idea of going to the post office makes me sick these days.

I would normally order only one, I'm trying to be a minimalist, but the price was soooo good to pass on such a great deal. I bought 3 and paid less than I'd normally pay for 2.

Pretend for a moment that YOU are the store owner. What would you want a potential customer to do?

I'm not a good Christian then, lol.

To answer the question, I would never make such a mistake in the first place. OCD has my back.

Sometimes items go on sale for different reasons. Maybe it's one that is not selling for him and he'd like to rid himself of the particular product at cost or at a small loss. It may have been on the shelf for some time now. You never know. Given that he only has three of these this might well be the case. I'd assume that it was priced that way intentionally.

What I would probably do is buy what I intended to buy or maybe a couple if it was something I really liked. Maybe add in another regularly priced item to make shipping worth the effort and increase/create some profit on the order for him. If you see the price jump back up right after your order then maybe it truly was a mistake. If it doesn't then he likely just wants them gone.

A few of the item is one thing but if he had 200 of them and I bought them all right away to relist on an auction site then I get how this could maybe be seen as taking advantage. Still not against any rules technically but it might be nice to send him a note before you bought him out (or right after) letting him know that you won't hold him to that price and that he could cancel the order if it was a mistake. If someone did this for me and saved me a big mistake I'd surely send them something in return as a token of my appreciation.

He's not such a large vendor by any means. He had no stock yesterday and today he received a few items of each from the whole line, including the newest Desert Vetiver. I doubt he wanted the Felces gone. He restocked his site today. I just saw that he also has only 3 Manna but the price is the usual one. Large variety but small stock. It's a business model. There are vendors that don't sell abroad and don't want to take the risk of filling the shelves if there's no market for the product. They'd rather have a site full of products and a large variety of brands than a large stock of fewer brands.

Anyway, I am waiting for a tracking number. We'll see. I just received it!

hey Marko can you go ahead and delete my account & all it's content.

if such clearly amoral/shitty behavior is tacitly approved by the mod staff, I dont want even my online presence associated with this place.

Like seriously the people on this forum get more upset for even mentioning someone is being awful than the clearly visible awfulness.

The OP may not violate any forum rules but this is yet another case of allowing gross behavior & then hiding behind "civility" because you all apparently agree with it.

It's not buying a soap 40% or whatever, it's that the OP actually believes the guy made a mistake, took advantage of it anyway, and then was PROUD of it because he thought he was teaching the guy a lesson. There is no way to construe that other than the OP is garbage & allowing this and other horrific posts to stay up and not even allowing other people to have the same right to call them out is some absolutely twisted shit unless you assume, and it seems like a good assumption at this point, that the moderation staff of this site is just mostly pieces of shit, too, who leave these things up because they agree with them.
