Exotic Elemi v. (Meißner Tremonia) lemon, sappy wood, pepper
I usually grate MT refill pucks into a furry mound and then carefully press the tailings into a Colt-Ainer four ounce PET jar. But today I was impatient to used Exotic Elemi, and I was tired of grating the tips of my fingers into the mix, so instead I sliced the puck into thin disks and scattered them in the tub like sashimi. MT makes a dense, waxen soap that would probably burn well with a wick. A heavy ironwood mortar my sister brought back from Tanzania served valiantly for pummeling the mass into the edges. It usually takes a sturdy brush with ample backbone and a fighting disposition to scoop up enough soap for a luxuriant three-pass shave.
