What soap/cream did you use today?

It appears that today's choice was Cortland fishing line but although I'm not Jolene's brightest boy, this is actually a repurposed tin full of AOS tallow Sandalwood. This one's my favorite for so many reasons. The scent is killer and although 6/10, it persists (thankfully) post shave. It's very subtle but I'll still whiff it at noon. Pairs perfectly with Fine Santal Absolut aftershave so I generally use it when I use the soap.

Performance of this Valobra made soap is excellent. This soap taught me that just because you have fine looking suds does not mean you have loaded enough soap. It'll look pretty fantastic but stay with it and load longer. Spend a bit more time adding water and working the lather and both slickness and cushion improve. But accept it early and it'll look fantastic but leave you wondering what the fuss is about. I've found that most hard soaps benefit from longer loading time.

I prefer the scent and the greater ease of lathering - for me at least.  I had to do a side-by-side compare with Reserve Spice - another favorite scent of mine - but Vespers wins IMO.
