Abricot v. (Le Père Lucien) ★★★★ apricot

A few days ago I was smarting after a shave with this soap. I can only attribute that experience to user error. I'm always tempted to give LPL soaps too much water at first, and that results in a fleeting lather and horrible cushion. But I've had some very good shaves with Abricot, so I thought it deserved another shot. This morning I took a barely damp brush (that's the secret) to a knob of soap and swirled long and slow until the lather formed fully. It was a stiff, sticky paste at first, but a drop of water carefully administered from time to time loosened the emulsion, and before long I had a terrific slick lather that comfortably supported a three-pass shave. This time no tingles, no abrasions, nothing but smiles, and the Shea butter finish is supreme. So LPL soap requires la bonne technique – just a sneeze of water to begin with and then some generous agitation – but once you master it, the soap is a pleasure to shave with.

Matsilainen : Suomi! what an awesome language. We just finished watching Deadwind, a mystery set in Helsinki. The plot was interesting, but the Finnish was really the captivating part. Not since I lived in Japan had I experienced a language so different from anything I've studied. After 12 episodes I still understood only one word, "ei." Now I'm scouring Netflix for more Finnish mysteries!
Sorjonen/Bordertown is also very nicr

Roger that. Have a puck of the Rose and need to improve the load and water management. Thanks for your insight.
