Thanks, Hunter.  The photo was a complete accident.  It was not very bright when and where I took it so I turned on the flash.  That seems to have blackened everything around the label but the flash just seemed to bounce right off the logo.  I have to admit that I am really taken with Barrister_N_Mann's simple design on this packaging, just as I was with his glissant soap line (think Cologne Russe, Seville, etc.)

This was my second use of the soap.  While I love everything about the aftershave, the soap is another matter.  The scent, for me, is intoxicating.  However, these "stringy" lathers that seem to be all the rage right now I just find too fiddly.  Today, I chose to bowl lather (I don't like face lathering) instead of attempting to build the soap in the tub and the results were infinitely better.  I never had any doubts about the facial properties of the lather (it is a B&M soap, after all Winking) but I get the same results with the glissant line with a little less hassle.  Will this soap get used?  Absolutely!  There is no doubt about its quality.  I just happen to prefer the glissant line which offers me the same luxurious soap without the hassle.  I admit to being in the minority here and this is no reflection on the soap, itself.  Based on quality, scent, and face care I highly recommend it.

Vetiver (Mike’s Natural Soaps) peanuty vetiver

Relying on the merits of Mike’s Vetiver to make a stable, long-lasting lather, I took a Dorco PL602 to my face today in pursuit of a perfect shave. The Dorco is an inexpensive, very mild plastic razor that will give you a superb shave, provided you have exceptional patience and a heap of lather. Luckily, with some gentle coaxing, my scuttle of Mike’s Vetiver turned into a cornucopia of suds, so that after five passes I got that sublime shave I was after.
