wyze0ne, can you describe this soap's scent, please? I missed out when Le Grande Chypre was first offered. I understand it will be released again this summer, and I'm curious to know what we can expect.

Tundra Artica (Saponificio Varesino) oudh, rose, sandalwood

Looking at the name only, you may expect this soap to harbor an arctic blast of wintry menthol. Mercifully, it’s not there. Instead of cold arctic air, I smell a warm zephyr blowing in from the clean open desert, a pleasant harbinger of this first day of spring. The main notes are agar wood with a faint whisper of rose couched in some sweetish sandalwood and amber. Fans of dry, tart oudh bakhoor will be happy.

Though the puck is quite hard (I couldn’t mash it with my thumbs into the corners of my bowl), a quick bloom, followed by forty swirls with a badger brush was enough to make a three-pass lather. It finished smooth and crisp at first, leaving my face feeling like it had been glazed, but that sensation soon passed, and after fifteen minutes the scent was gone, too.
