Tuscan Oud (RazoRock) tobacco flower & oud
I found this dusty tub of Tuscan Oud at the back of my soap shelf. It hadn’t been touched since the beginning of last summer, when I went on a tallow-only jag. I was just about to put it on the auction block when I cracked it open and caught a whiff of that scent - sweet, rich oud overlaid with soft tobacco flower. I couldn’t think of parting with it. Even my wife, who picked up the penetrating aroma from a storey above, had some honeyed words for this smell.
The lather was thick and slick, though I wish it was just a little more protective. I noticed a little irritation on the cheek bones. But it washed off clean, and a dab of lanolin in the mix left my skin feeling fairly soft. Tuscan Oud is not nearly as drying as some other RazoRock soaps.
