Martin Man
Honolulu, Hawaii
Absinthe (Martin de Candre) lemony anise
Shave 2 ・ 238 g left

The scent continues to enchant me. This morning lemon balm took center stage, and mint humbly shuffled off to the wings. I don't smell any wormwood, but there's a nice dose of fennel and anise. The shave was top-notch, as is always the case with Martin de Candre.

A while back, I spat in a tube and mailed it off to the DNA labs. Last week the results came back with a surprise: I’m one-quarter Swiss. Who knew? Not me. And just today, I learned something else: absinthe, that strange green fairy, was born in Switzerland, Neuchâtel to be exact. So after connecting the dots, let me boldly proclaim 2025 as Bouki’s Year of Absinthe. Why not? Life’s weird and full of unexpected twists. May as well enjoy them.
