Just Here for the Shaves
Williamsburg, KY
Tuesday June 18, 2024
Razor: Paradigm Ti2
Blade: Nacet
Brush: Knothead Brush Works/Timberwolf
Soap: Stirling Arkadia
AS : Witch Hazel + Terre D'hermes Splash
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 2,050

A generously loaned razor from the House of Mike dtownvino Here's a little info on the razor for those unfamiliar with it:

The Ti2 has 2 versions, v1 handle (tapered like the Ti1) and V2 (straight). There are way more V2 in the wild than V1, Andy thinks there are 30 V1 and about 70 V2. Same geometry as 17-4 and meant to be the shaver that was far less blade feel than the Ti1.

It was an amazing first outing with it and I think it is exactly as Mike described it to me in conversation "Phantom" Blade feel. You hear it cutting but imperceptible blade feel that got me to BBS. Better than the Ti Diamondback ? Perhaps....I'll need more time with it and the TiBack. It is certainly a Rare Bird and a GREAT shaver.

I can't believe it took me all these years to get Arcadia from Stirling. I LOVE Terre D'hermes and haven't gotten a replacement soap since finishing my DG Trismegistus. Had a sample sent to me by a fellow YouTuber Okieshaver and knew I needed a tub. Rod nailed it and his base is definitely a winner for me. Easy to lather and all the properties of protection and slickness when you get the consistency right which again is easy.

Have a tremendous day !

My 1st C&F soap...pretty sure I added too much water and didn't have a lot of time to correct the mistake so I just went with it.  Still had a very good slickness and cushion for a 2-pass shave

This simple soap rinses away quickly and leaves me feeling clean. That’s quite a change from the high-fat soaps I’ve been lathering lately. I like how my skin feels normal. But Martin de Candre doesn’t offer deep protection, so a mild razor is called for. An aluminum Christopher Bradley with the A base plate is the tamest blade in my arsenal. It’s so gentle, it doesn’t remove the lather completely from my face, so I get two passes with each lathering.
