Sandalwood (D.R. Harris) spiced sandal

A deep bloom does wonders for making a sound lather with these D.R. Harris hard soaps. I’ve been generous with the bloom water, letting it soak in for about thirty minutes. After that sort of treatment, the super soft Plisson brush has no problem scooping up a decent load. My only concern is that after three shaves with this soap, my nose has already become used to the sandalwood, and I can hardly detect it any more.

Three days fishing for the mighty Steelhead and I didn’t shave once! This is a fishing buddy who’s been trailing with me since we met on a back country Alaskan river in 2005. Yes it was cold….but that’s steelheading for you. This is upstream of the Frank Church wilderness.
