They’re both Châtillon Lux fragrances that were first done in just Châtillon Lux post shave products the in a declaration grooming soap. Shawn eventually sold his CL catalogue to Scott so he could focus on perfumery. I like the TSM Fougere but Weinstrasse never did it for me.

Declaration Grooming describes Weinstrasse like this: “This fragrance aims to reimagine the fougère with a white grape top note and a lush, dense supporting cast of flora and fauna that could be found on the winding trails, perfect for a beautiful day with no particular destination in mind. Notes include white grape, honeysuckle, iris, blackcurrant bud, helichrysum, sandalwood, coumarin, oakmoss and musk.”
When I build the lather what I actually get is a snout full of fruit. It smells like I bloomed the puck with a bottle of Welch’s white grape juice. The fougèrity is buried under a heap of lush fruits and flowers. I smell no fauna at all, thankfully. This will take some getting used to, but the lather is exceptionally slick, and the finish is grand.
I wonder if this is the same fragrance as Declaration Grooming's TSM Fougère? Rebus Knebus, what do you think?

Bouki,
Thanks for the shout out!! I've never tried Weinstrasse, and unfortunately, my nose knows nothing, so I rely on friends like you to let me know what I'm smelling. A big thanks to DanLaw and Marko for answering your question.

Thanks, everyone, for your comments on this soap’s fragrance. Not the best fougère I agree, but I’m curious to see how it ages. The fruit is overwhelming at first, so I’m going to let it breath for a few days to see what sort of green things sprout. I still love the performance. That excellent slip makes shaving a pleasure.

Agree - one of my favorites. I get wonderfully herbaceous honeyed desert wine - luscious!
