Overall it’s a pretty squared away soap but I sure can’t see $60 value in it.  If it really can live up to the marketing hype perhaps it’s worth it.  But I’m guessing this is a case of pure marketing where a person found a use for the family saffron flower, and being used to high ticket item sales (saffron stamens) they weren't afraid a a sixty dollar ask.  Bully for them!  Is it as good as many soaps I have at a third the cost?  I don’t know. Right now I don’t think so.  As it was, that yellow lather was just enough out of normal to be just a bit off putting.  It didn’t appear to stain anything. It did shave very well. It smelled good. I’ll use up what I have but I can’t see myself buying this again. Saffron is for Paella.

What, if any, is supposed to be the benefit of the saffron? I know it obviously is widely used in cooking, even sometimes just for color. Is it just a color/scent usage or is there any skin benefit?

Heals wounds and scars: Saffron is an effective skin recovery agent backed by amazing wound healing abilities and antiseptic and antibacterial properties from within. Using a saffron cream for skin whitening encourages cell turnover, which helps in disinfecting and healing the affected area.
Reduces ingrown hair:  This is one of the best uses of saffron for skin. Ingrown hair is a condition when hair grows back into the skin, irritating some people. If you want to get rid of ingrown hair quicker, exfoliating and soothing creams enriched with saffron can be your best pick.
Exfoliating creams remove the dead layer of skin cells. This helps release ingrown hair, while soothing creams hydrate the skin, making it smooth and supple. It is safe and gentle on all skin types and for people of all age groups over fifteen years

I had no idea, I had really never heard of saffron for skin. I'll have to look it up.

Grooming Dept - Jasmine & Civet (Kairos)

I've been changing my approach the past couple weeks, starting with much more water in the knot for loading than I always used to (though I always added more water, of course). Most soap formulas seem to benefit, and this is one of them for sure.

Didn't know if I was going to like this scent, but it's really well balanced, particularly after lathering. Notes are "Jasmine, Rose, Mimosa, Myrrh, Incense, Civet."

Yesterday, I used the new Hokkaido by Tallow + Steel, but forgot to shoot a pic.
