Mandarino Fumo

This was my first shave with ETHOS Mandarino Fumo.  The performance was outstanding, and the scent was strong and delightful.  I wish I were better as describing scents, but all I can pick out is the Mandarin and what is for me a very tastefully done smoky note.   In any case, I keep sniffing the jar lol, and I have the EDP on the way, despite the fact that buying soap specific fragrances is something I rarely do.

That is high praise high speed. Btw, nice Bob Quinn brush /knot. You beat me to that one. Lol

Thanks Tommy.  I don’t praise every ETHOS soap this way, even though the 11 ETHOS soaps I’ve bought are as consistently excellent as any brand I’ve tried.  But we all have our favorites, and even after only one shave, Mandarino Fumo is among mine.  No doubt more capable noses will describe the scent better than I.  --  And yes, thank you, the brush is one of Bob's fine creations (as is that green Malachite beauty of yours.  I imagine you beat quite a few people to that one!).

Warm weather has blown in and I’m looking for something chilly to shave with. Luckily, there’s enough coolant in today’s Blue Tobacco to satisfy my cravings. In fact, my eyes water when I twist off the lid. What’s more, I’ve started scraping this soap with a spatula instead of trying to load straight with a brush, and this scratch-n-sniff method brings out even more of the menthol. What about the tobacco, you ask? Well, you know how hot soup smells better than cold? Same thing here. There’s so much D-menthol, the tobacco gets frozen out. Only after the menthol dies down can you smell something like caramel. It’s fine, but if you’re looking for a true tobacco scented soap, you may be a bit disappointed.
