What’s got you so busy these days?

It's primarily work but coupled with the fact we're down to one functioning bathroom during the remodel.  Over the past nine years, my wife and I have always jokingly said the key to a happy marriage is we each have our own bath.  We no longer joke about it.  It's a fact

I picked up this puck of herbaceous wonderment in Lancaster PA at a place called Zanzibar.  They had a choice or two in there but I do recall the aPre de Provence and cella.  This smelled so nice that I bought it and haven’t looked back.  In fact I’ve never found my way back to Zanzibar since that day probably 5 years agobut Idaho is a bit of a drive don’t you think?  This French soap is a hard triple milled wonder that has many shaves on it and I’ll be hanged if the stuff doesn’t have several hundred left.  The performance is great if you worry your brush on the puck long enough.  The Shea I. The mix leaves me feeling plump.  But that scent!  What is the profile?  I have no idea other than herbs but it’s bright and green and wonderful.  These days the 63 gets more press but of the two I like this one better.

Shave 12 ・ 100 g left

Compared to the modern low-structure, fat-n-happy lathers that we all love so much these days, this Klar lather is a bit of a dinosaur. It’s big, voluminous, and poofy, sort of like ratted hair from the 80s. Slap it on thick like a meringue and let your razor get lost in a foamy wonderland. That’s not saying today’s shave was bad. In fact, for a one-passer, it came out quite good, and I got a kick out of the fluffy white mounds it made.
