I do like rose.  I really do.  This is a really nice one and she makes soap just down the road!  The rose is subtle.  Maybe too subtle but it’s backed by chocolate, sandalwood, a kiss of anise and some other stuff I can’t identify.  Smack on the deck low structure in my hard water.  The best thing?  The scent lingers for a while post shave.

Island Estate (Sir Henry’s) smooth bay rum
Shave 3 ・ 106 g left

This is peppery and smoky and really nice. Along with bay and smoke I get a kind of raw sweet note. Taken altogether, it smells like I’ve spent the afternoon cooking down cane juice over a low wood fire. Now that’s a true island scent.
