Shave 7 ・ 59 g left

My spreadsheet suggests I’ll have another week with Le Vétiver. It’s basing this estimate on the average rate of consumption up to this point. But yesterday’s shave took only four grams off the puck, so things are clearly slowing down. It seems likely that this puck will last until early March, about two weeks from now. All told, this soap will probably give me about 21 shaves. That’s around 81 cents per shave. Do I feel gipped? Not at all! This is an excellent soap. I intend to revel in every shave. It’s slick and rich and sweet smelling and just a joy to use. And better yet, it’s exciting to knock hunks – instead of pebbles – off my towering heap of soap.

I’ve had a love/hate relationship with T+S “scents.”  Performance is ultra premium as are the materials used.  This Artisan cares about his work

Cairo cancelled out the one that smelled like old fishing bait and dirt……..AND the one that smelled like my high school gym locker sweaty clothes left in it during spring break with a spritz of Chanel #5

I’m going to be using four T+S in my upcoming shaves, I’ll do a 5 kit wrap up at the end of my roadshow…

This one kicked us off in Egypt…

Sorry man.  The scent is heavenly and it performs great.

Glad it works for you to your standards. Please refer to my signature below  Big Grin
So this one here Gents goes on a cheese grater very fine into my lather bowl. The result is VERY different than the way I was was doing it a long long time ago in 2019. I was disappointed because the scent is fantastic.  I’m no longer disappointed using the cheese grater methodology

When we lived in Northern Virginia, we used to go to a public rose garden that was very extensive and very capably cared for.  As I mentioned to my friend Paul aka Stubble Daddy  in response to his own accolades, when I close my eyes and sniff the tub, it's like I'm standing in front of a rose bush.  I could not tell you which bush in the rose garden it is - probably not precisely any of them - but I love it.  The performance is top tier too.  As I write this, Kosmosman and Pasteur both have it in stock and, interestingly to me, their scent descriptions are not identical.

Kosmosman:   "A masculine, rich and textured fragrance. Soft and velvety notes of rose that are wrapped in mantle of smoked oud with the spicy touch of black pepper and aromatic tobacco. Enhanced on a base of resins and precious oak, sandalwood, copal and musk woods."

Pasteur:  "The Black Rose fragrance is a strong, deep, black fragrance with a touch of spicy rose. Top notes of rose embedded in oud, black pepper and tobacco. The base of resins and precious woods, sandalwood and oak ends in musk. A sensational fragrance."
