Hungarian Lavender (Mike’s Natural Soaps) lemony lavender
Shave 32 ・ 75% left

Lemony bright lavender without any chemical off notes, Mike’s Hungarian is the best smelling lavender in my collection. It may be the best smelling soap period. The lather hardly needs any comment, but if there ever comes a time I need to repoint my brick chimney, you know what I’ll reach for. This stuff’s solid.

Time to break my duck on the soap thread!

The tallow-based Phoenix & Beau Imperial Rum shaving soap performed well for a three pass shave. My norm lately is only two passes, so I selected a soap I thought would do me right on a third go. My inexperienced honker likes this scent, more refined than my Col Conk bay rum. I love the label and tried to get a shot that showed off the shiny octopus!

I too like Phoenix and Beau.  You inspire me sir to dig out the Spitfire, Oberon, and Boreal.

Last two days were a repeat of the day before but I’m headed home tomorrow and Monday mornings shave will have to be something stupendous. As it is though, I enjoy these traveling shaves a bunch too.  Finished this one up with a daubing of vintage Polo Green.
