ETHOS Vetivert F Base Soap:

A friend let me sample this as times tight due to Coco cancer treatments and personal issues.  Frankly, could never have afforded this.

Have been wanting to try this base and scent.  The base is not as firm as feared although still prefer the original.  It is easily scooped and bowl lathers readily; amazing how quickly it lathered even if not exploding.  The lather is thinner than original to my perspective BUT, in fairness, slicker and about as cushioned - this definitely a lather one paints as opposed to swirls.  The rinse was clean and more easily accomplished than with the original base; post shave is about equal to the original which was the primary fear.

The scent, in short, this is by far the best vetiver scent ever encountered in a soap.  Off the puck it is uninspiring but left out to air a few days, it develops into something extraordinary.  Wish it were more projecting would be only advice for improvement.  When lathered it just heavenly directly under the nose whilst shaving.  Hard to compliment the scent enough really.

And if one thinks the soap is incredible, wait until the Skin Food is applied - Good God, better than Guerlain!!!

Shave 6 ・ 90% left

I lay about in bed all day reading Moby Dick (well, except when I was tucking in to the turkey, of course). What a dense book. Parts are enjoyable, parts are just stultifying. I’ll be grateful when it’s done, and I’m looking forward to picking out a new book. Next time I’ll see if I can’t find something a little more invigorating. Same with the soap. I’ll be ready to give Leviathan a break as soon as I get to the end of the novel. But even if its heavy coffee scent is never going to be my thing, I’ve had some truly fantastic shaves along the way.

Omnibus is amazing

Perhaps a pairing of B&M Melange with Herbert's Dune?  Both are incredible works, worthy of Winter

Danny, good idea. Dune is the greatest sci-fi of all time. I couldn't get my boys to read, and this trilogy did the trick.

Melange has a dry incense desert with cinammon feel - an Andy Tauer Perfumes L'Air Du Desert Marocain twist.

Most know am more than a bit partial to the literary classics; however, there are many great scifi works:

One of my favourites is 'The Dispossessed' by Ursula K. LeGuin, it part of the Hainish Cycle. Nothing would pair better than Sebum Fossil whilst enhancing the thematic mood.

On the other end of the political spectrum is any book by Robert Heinlein but particularly his first, 'For Us, The Living', an amazing read.  ETHOS Clean is a perfect match as it clinically utopian yet devoid of any scent and hence emotion.
