What soap/cream did you use today?

Vintage Aramis JHL shaving soap and shaving cream. A very fragrant, excellent lather.

Ballenclaugh Honey & Tobacco - love the scent of this soap. The sweetness grounds the tobacco without being overpowering and the result is an earthiness reminiscent of vetiver with notes of cacao. Very nice.

Performance was as reported- solid on all counts.

Only ding I'll give is on the label - not waterproof. I got some water on it, went to wipe it off with the towel on clean up without looking closely and ended up both smearing a cool label as well as staining a towel. Have to remember to hide that later

Thanks for your remarks, Kevin! I’ve been wondering about Honey Tobacco, and this was the first review that I’ve seen. Can’t seem to find a lot of information on Ballenclaugh on the web. I have their Vanderpool soap, which performs very well, but the scent is almost too much.

Too bad about the labeling on the Honey Tobacco, though. Will have to check if Vanderpool has the same issue.
