What soap/cream did you use today?

It’s amazing how much water this Omnibus base calls for. Without it, the soap stays sticky and dense. Today I loaded enough soap to cover the tips of the bristles. Then I started dribbling and dripping gouts of water on my brush and working it around and around the bowl. I kept this up for what seemed like about ten minutes, but the lather remained pasty. I took a look at the clock and decided this method was going to be way too slow. So, I just shoved the whole brush straight under the running tap and let it drink. After mopping it around my face for a few minutes the lather finally came together as a slick, dense, creamy, joyous slush. Great stuff, but not one to reach for if you’re in a rush to get out the door.

Fairly early during beta testing, determined that conservative hydration of Omnibus was both inefficient and unnecessary. Once so committed, lathering became more joyful. Bowl lather exclusively if it matters
