What can be said about Tabac that hasn't already been said? Even most who dislike the scent will agree that it's an incredible performing soap.

It’s springtime in Idaho.  I know that because of the recent snowstorm.  Hey, we can get snow any month of the year but May is not uncommon for snow in the higher country.  Shoot, I skied on Independence Day in 1977.  So with that in mind, and accepting that I really don’t have “seasonal” soaps, a tub of Nocturne hit the brush.  Will touts it as a fall scent and I totally get that.  Apples, smoke, and pine tar really are the main actors here.  When I was a kid, we had a couple of rows of Apple trees of several varieties.  A couple of those trees grew very sweet yellow apples that were particularly tasty.  One day I had a fire going in the orchard and on a whim stuck an apple on a stick and roasted it on the coals.  Wow!  Such a treat.  We roasted apples in the fall after that.  This soap brought that memory flooding back.  Add to that the smell of the stovepipe and its tarry interior when I’m  Setting up camp and two great memories melt together for a shave full of feels.  The Glissant base in my opinion is the best B&M has produced.

You're looking at the inspiration that resulted in our 1st soap we created and remained the benchmark for our veggie soap. If it didn't perform as good as Tabac, it wasn't ready. I’m always reminded how similar your soap and tabac are.  So easy to use.  So comfortable.  And although I like tabac, your scents win too

Sometimes SOTD posts will inspire me to use something. Today was purely coincidence. Great minds think alike.  Smile
