Sometimes all the stars align and the music of the celestial spheres reaches a perfect harmony and your shave comes out so perfect that you almost despair of ever needing to take up a razor again. There’s something very agreeable about this Windsor, apart from its elegant fragrance and faux Edwardian presentation. I can’t say the lather is in any way exceptional: in fact, it’s on the dry ’n airy side of the scale, no matter how well I water it. But it all finishes so smooth and it stays finished for so long, I could easily skip a day between shaves with this soap.

Grooming Dept Angel

Some days I don’t want a clean scent and on those days I often choose Chiseled Face Pine Tar.  Is it “pine tarry” enough?  Well I’d like it a bit stronger but it sure is industrial enough to scratch that itch.  

I bet this would be Dick Zimmerman's signature scent.

Quarantined in my own stinking house!  A son who lives nearby tested positive for Corona virus and his kids and wife were at my house an hour before he started symptoms.  Hey, I’m a grandpa who loves having them climb, crawl, whack, and snuggle so it’s pretty logical that I was exposed.  My office is in my home but my wife was away so she was not part of the fun fray and I self imposed my quarantine to one of the guest beds.  Kinda dig the grandma I sleep with and miss her already.  Anyway, she and I share a bathroom so my shaving moved locales.  Stinking great shave this morning with Declarations B Cubed.  Great lather (although these lotion soaps are a “palm lather” affair).  Just don’t perform well in my hard water in a purely face lather mode.  I sure smell nice though.  Think I’ll wait awhile before I slap on a scent.
