It’s hard to call Tims Soap a vintage because it is not really that at all.  Tim’s was a Texas soap maker that made a splash a few years back with soaps named Ghostface Nilla, Ruby Red, and Greek Peach enjoying pretty widespread Acceptance.  At the time there were not a lot of artisan makers ant Tim was a good choice.  Greek Peach is an olfactory joy!  Gourmand in classification, it smells more of peach cobbler than peach but transcends the foodie into something a little more formal.  I don’t feel like I need to wear a bib when I use it although I don’t think an EdP of this scent would be appropriate either.  Such a great shave whenever I pull it out.

Ginestra di Taormina v. (Tcheon Fung Sing) broom, tobacco

Tidepool isn’t the only shaver around here who’s smitten with Tcheon Fung Sing. Though this is my only tub (for now), I have to rank among my favorites. The scent – a bold floral with herby side notes – is intense and interesting. The lather is as slick as you want it to be. And the finish is sweet and smooth and keeps getting better as the day goes on. I like Ginestra di Taormina so much, I’ve just pressed the button on a couple more soaps from this TFS Linea Intenso line: Tobacco Verde and Arancio Amaro. And I’m looking at another called Kathmandu. Can anyone tell me anything about it?
